Some Things You Should Know
We’re just 25 minutes from Silverton or the Willamette Valley, a little over an hour from both Portland and Eugene, and under four hours from Seattle. Silver Falls State Park, Oregon’s largest state park, is home to the stunning Trail of Ten Falls. Whether you’re here to hike, camp, or simply unwind in nature, here’s what to know before you go:
- Entrance Fee: Included when you book a stay with us, or $10 day-use parking permit (available onsite or with State Parks Pass)
- Top Activities: Hiking, waterfall viewing, camping, picnicking, biking
- Trail Highlight: 7.2-mile Trail of Ten Falls with 10 scenic waterfalls
- Tips: Limited cell service, early arrival recommended on weekends and holidays
- Pets: Allowed in most areas, but not on Canyon Trail section. Read more.
- Phone Reception: Most public areas have reliable service, though T-Mobile may have limited coverage. Trail signal is spotty, so download maps or info before entering remote areas.
South Falls Cafe
Located in the historic South Falls Lodge, built in the 1940s from hand-cut stone and fir logs, South Falls Café is more than a meal. It’s a cozy, inviting stop where Oregon history adds to every visit. Offering grab-n-go items and beverages for the trail, freshly brewed coffee and specialty coffee drinks, and made to order sandwiches.

Ten Falls Supply Co.
Before you head out on the Trail of Ten Falls, be sure to stop by Ten Falls Supply Co. for all of your hiking essentials, including maps, water bottles, trail snacks, waterproof backpacks, and trekking poles. After you complete the 7.2 mile hike, swing back by to pick-up a tee shirt or sticker celebrating your amazing day.
Welcome to Smith Creek Village
Smith Creek Village is a place to slow down and settle in. Tucked inside Silver Falls State Park, this forest retreat offers cozy cabins, a market & grill, event space, and time to reconnect with nature, with others, and with yourself.
The village includes 8 tiny cabins, 4 family cabins, 2 duplex cabins, 1 VIP cabin, a retail area, a dining area, indoor meeting spaces, and outdoor event spaces. Many of the buildings were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s and still carry the mark of that craftsmanship in their stonework and timber beams.
This is not just a place to stay. It is a place to listen, reflect, and move at the rhythm of the forest.
